Behavioral Health Crisis Hotline

We offer a hotline for members experiencing a mental health crisis - we can speak to you right away and help you get the support you need. You do not need a referral for mental health or substance use services.

State Fair Hearing & External Medical Review

A state fair hearing is when the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) directly reviews our decisions about your鈥痬edical鈥痗are.

You can also ask for an external medical review where independent health care experts review your request to receive services. This review is an鈥optional鈥痚xtra step you can take to get your case reviewed for free before your state fair hearing. It doesn鈥檛 change your right to a state鈥痜air鈥痟earing.鈥

Nonemergency Medical Transportation

PCHP offers nonemergency medical transportation to all STAR members. Members must use Access2Care to schedule medical transportation at least two workdays before your appointment. English/Spanish interpreter services are available.

Pharmacy Services

Prescription drugs are a covered benefit of STAR and CHIP programs. PCHP administers this benefit with the Texas Medicaid/CHIP Vendor Drug Program and our Pharmacy Benefit Manager, Navitus Health Solutions.

Telehealth Services

最新糖心Vlog Community Health Plan offers telehealth services at no cost for STAR and CHIP members age 0-20. This includes easy, convenient access to pediatricians through a partnership with telehealth provider KidzDocNow. Members can talk to a provider from 7am to 11pm, seven days a week. (Not available for CHIP Perinate members.)

Telehealth is great for:

  • Upset stomach and other digestive issues
  • Cold and flu symptoms
  • Prescription refills
  • Questions about nutrition and exercise
  • Questions about newborn health or breastfeeding
  • Mental health concerns
